Earlier this month Genability released the new Value of Solar feature set including the ability to upload solar production data independent of usage. Now the Cost Analysis tool subtracts solar production from usage and delivers you the Value of Solar.
Uploading Solar Production data is as simple as uploading usage. Go to the profile tab within accounts and select the upload data button (be sure to click the Solar PV button). We accept many data formats, including data from PVWatts and PVSyst. Don’t hesitate to contact us at email@example.com if you’d like some help getting your production (or usage) data into Explorer.
Once your production data is loaded, you can easily determine the Value of Solar in Explorer. On the Cost Analysis tab select your solar production profile to determine exact the value generated (and costs avoided) by your solar production. In many circumstances you’ll find that the solar production is worth considerably more than the average cost per kWh your customer currently pays.
Log in to Explorer today to find out exactly how much your solar production is worth to your customer.
